I have been thinking about something that happened on the way to AROTR and after Ramona and I talked about it I had to share it. Every year something will happen that we remember that isn't always related to the Beatles but in spirit it is. In the cab from the airport we saw the billboard on the highway for AROTR and after getting excited about the people and event I had to think about all the contest in the world and very few if any would allow a young person's art work to be so proudly shown, if it was my creation I would be living on the billboard platform with my peacock feathers in full bloom. So everyone who makes this possible through work or participation or both smile broadly and proudly we as a group have touch more people than we may know. Much love

Sorry I took so long to post this, but I wanted to say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to everyone who came to the Rigbys & Hard Dazed Knights shows. As always, at AROTR we perform for the greatest Beatles fans! Thanks also to fellow performers for all the kind words & hang-out time. Jay Goeppner, my friend, I know I'll see you soon in another Lennon tribute for sure. Thanks to all who took pictures & video & e-mailed them to me. Special thanks go to Mr. Hal Bruce for "knighting" me & for having me at your event in Halifax. Can't thank you enough! Also, thanx to the wonderful people in Halifax who took me in as one of their own! See everyone in Washington! Peace & Love, Gary Metcalf (The Rigbys, Hard Dazed Knights)

We are very excited to be attending AROTR DC.
We have our hotel reservation for the Gaylord. My friends in DC say it is an amazing place. I encourage everyone to stay there. The price is great for the DC area and when you stay at the conference hotel you feel like you are a part of everything all the time. You even have conversations with people on the elevators about what they saw, how much fun they are having and what they are doing next and you should come along.

We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

See you all soon.

During the festival. people kept mentioning the C. Kids, but I did not see their set. However, I'm sorry I didn't after seeing the video clips of them. They bring a great energy anf lively snap to the Beatles songs. Good luck to the journey to the top, young rockers!

I would love to hear what others thought of the Castillo kids. It was their first time and I know personally that they loved it.
If you got to see just one of the performances, what did you think? Are they not amazing?
So young, with so much talent.

Time has passed but not my family's appreciation for the excellent job done to produce AROTR. Kudos in particular on dealing well with weather caused stage changes. For the second year, we stayed at the Galt House and greatly enjoyed being able to come and go and catch as many performers as possible. Best new band for us was the incredible Beat!Radicals from Germany. Also particularly loved BritBeat, Instant Karma, All You Need is Love's White Album show, and the ever amazing Hal Bruce.

Travelled 3500 miles from Scotland on the recommendation of our friends, Itchycoo Park and we were not to be dissapointed. Met some amazing and wonderful people. Brian from The Blue Meanies you're a diamond. Lisa you're as mad as a bag of rabbits. The Repeatles were fantastic (coolest bass guitar at the festival.) SSG showed us all how to rock and The Yellow Submorons showed us how to have fun. And the people of Louisville made it feel like a home from home. The big bonus for us was meeting the boys from Revolver. What a great bunch of lads and talented too. (Kathy has already fell in love with at least two of you guys!)
The best laugh was Ronnie from Itchycoo Park 'healing' the guy on crutches at the river stage. 'Hallelujah, healed by the power of Itchycoo' And i'd like to give a big thank you to Phil the taxi driver and his lovely lady, Laura for their hospitality and friendship. Were already saving for next year.
Well done Gary and your team for putting on such a fantastic festival. See you in 2011.
With love and peace... Drew and Kathy.

Well, we're back home now and back into the grind of grim reality. Lynn and I had a real buzz at AROTR this year. AROTR just gets better evey year, and for those doubters, in the words of George Harrison:

It's easier to tell a lie than it is to tell the truth
It's easier to kill a fly than it is to turn it loose
It's easier to criticize somebody else
Than to see yourself

It's easier to give a sigh and be like all the rest
Who stand around and crucify you while you do your best
It's easier to see the books upon the shelf
Than to see yourself

(Some may not know this song, it wasn't number one on the billboard top 100)

Personally, my six sets were all different and consisted of Beatles and solo Beatles work with the exception of three songs, Substitute, All Or Nothing and No Particular Place to Go, which were performed at the River on Monday. Without looking too hard you can find Beatles music every second of the day at AROTR, and not the same old songs. I know there are other artists who vary their sets too. I know it's difficult to see everything, but hey! Look around round round.

It's great to hear the hits, but there is other fantastic Beatles material out there too.

Anyway, that's my view.

Special thanks bandwise to Beatleburys, Tweeter (magician) Itchycoo Park, SSG, Johnny Doughnut, Love me Deux, Drew H and Joe O. Thanks to all who honoured me with your presence at my performances (you know who you are).

Lots of great new bands and some good old stalwarts.

Mr Wonderful were my favorite band, I wish I could do a Motown Beatles set with them.

I wish I'd have got to know the Gretsch guys, but I daren't go near after buying three guitars in the last few months. Come again won't you?

Keep up the good work Gary and the team, and keep supporting the good causes!
Nobody does it better, doo, doo, doo, doo (oops sorry wrong Bond film!)

You used to say live and let live. (You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)......Phew! nearly blew it then!

Love you all.

Abbey Road On The River 2010 raised, donated, and created revenues this year for Boy Scout Troop 77, the Crusade For Children, Make A Wish, Desmoid Tumor Research, and Allison Myatt hero fund in the range of $27,500. Additionally, we provided free tickets to 100 agencies supported by Crusade for Children, and to the Louisville Fund For The Arts. Thank you all for your help.

Additionally, many big prizes including a trip to Liverpool, 3 Gretsch Guitars, 2 other guitars, a Shea stadium jacket, and assorted merchandise, hotel rooms, tickets, and more were awarded or won, totaling another $25,000 in value..entry to all contests was FREE, so in the end....were the 2 "fences" all that bad

We had a wonderful time at our first AROTR
Louisville festival, despite the 16 hr. drive
to get there!

The highlight for us was Terry Sylvester on
Thursday night with The Cryers...no words to
express! Also, enjoyed the Q & A with Terry
the next day.

THE BEAT!radicals!!!! OMG, definately the
best show we have seen in years. Please bring
them back next year, Gary.

Enjoyed Revolver, Travelling Beatleburys,
Jimmy Pou, Hal Bruce, Det Betales, The Repeatles
especially, though every band or act was good.

Its hard to choose a favorite from the pool of
talent at AROTR, but for us, BEAT!radicals
really did it....love you guys!

ALso, refreshing to hear non-Beatle songs
occassionally. Loved the mix of The Who, Kinks,
etc. into the mix. Loved the Stones band,
Tatoo Babylon; their sax player (17 yrs old)
was amazing.

Venue was great, weather good, people friendly,
food options good....really impressed with
the organization of such a large event.

Going to try to make D.C.....will try to
sandwich it in between McCartney concerts
coming to the eastcoast in Aug.

Great meeting new friends and seeing old
ones, too.

As a first timer to AROTR, my family and I had a wonderful time once we could figure out where to go. Meet the Beetles stood out as the best overall representation in terms of appearance, mannerisims, sound and delivery. They had by far the most authentic costumes, and even brought back Ed Sullivan from the freezer! They were fun to dance to and had engaging stage banter, especially from "John". Please bring them back!

Another fun band was The Yellow Sub-Morons, who had a following of Sub-Maniacs to pass out tea, blow bubbles, play games, and do zaney dances. The parade was like a G-rated Mardi Gras', and had everyone laughing and smiling! Loved Danny Donuts and his Submarine!! Thanks to everyone for a wonderful time and for organizing a fun event!

This was our 3rd year at AROTR & each year it is more fun. Thanks to BritBeat's "John" & "George" for their kind words after our Sunday night set. They especially liked "Woodstock."
We attempted, again, this year to provide some alternate music: "Temptation Eyes", "Sleepwalk", "Rock & Roll Fantasy", "Be My Baby", & closing with "Woodstock". So thank you to the fans who approved of our eclectic set. You could not have been nicer or more enthusiastic. Finally, thanks to all the great & friendly bands! Great camaraderie. As usual, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the bands and music and fun. My husband and I look forward to it every year and hope Louisville continues to host this FAB event.
We were very impressed with BritBeat...who had me convinced they were from Liverpool till I heard they were from Chicago. The accents and all...they sounded like Paul, George and John and Ringo. They were so good at preforming The Beatles music, they had their personalities and their gestures on stage down wonderfully. They are great musicians...it's tooooo hard to play McCartney's bass! John had John down perfect. George was wonderful...and so was Ringo! They made me feel like a kid again.
We were also very impressed with Revolver. They were very very good. I would love to see them again also.
Hal Bruce was his usual wonderful self.
I felt terrible about Instant Karma's loss of their friend and bass player. And I guess I am correct at getting the impression that the singer, who does John Lennon better than anyone I have heard...lost his brother the same year. It was bittersweet for sure. When he finished his last song...We All Shine On...the Heaven's opened up and the rain fell so hard and fast...to me it was like a sign that their loved ones were watching down on them and sending them their love. The rain made me happy and laugh all the way back to the hotel though soaking wet.
We appreciate all the hard work that Gary does to bring us this great event to Louisville. I can't imagine all the work involved, planning things..etc....I have done a few small events for things...and I can't even imagine how he does it. It is a year round job for him I am sure. I hope he knows that it is appreciated by sooooo many of us that love the Beatles and are grateful for the opportunity to hear the music again and feel young again....and also to keep the music alive for the younger generation to carry on.
God bless you for all you do Gary!
Thank you to all the artists...I know I can't mention them all in this email...but Thank you!!!

Hi everyone,
I would just like to say that I have been performing at the Abbey Road on the River festival since the days when I was with "1964 the Tribute" and the festival was held in Cleveland, Ohio. This was by far the best and most enjoyable event that I have attended as far as the festival is concerned. I had so much fun seeing old friends and of course meeting new ones. I want to thank you all who showed up at my "An Evening With George" shows. All the fellow band members were incredible this year, a personal thanks to Drew Harrison, it was so much fun jammin with you at your show and thanks so much for your friendship. Thanks to Hal, James and Sabrina and Chris, Danny and David from Brit Beat, Jay from Instant Karma,(Mark Eskin R.I.P. you were in our thoughts my friend) The Repeatles, All You Need is Love, Love me Deux, Jukebox, The Traveling Beatleburys, Peter Conrad, Phil Berube, Sam and the rest of the guys, Mario Da Silva, Joe Carducci and Fred Gretsch from Gretsch guitars, Bob Spizer, Russ Lease, and the list goes on and on, and last but not least Gary Jacob who really put his blood, sweat, and tears into making this thing happen as he does every year. I can't wait for Washington DC, it will truly be so much fun and thanks to John, Paul, George, and Ringo for the greatset music in the world, Jimmy Pou

The dust has finally settled, so we wanted to stop by and say thanks to all of our friends at Abbey Road on the River. It was a wonderful year. You all make it truly special.

Thanks to everyone that played with us. Stan and Mandie, you guys are pros. The Hollywood Bowl show wouldn't have been the same without you. Pete, Brandon, our friends from Michigan... the jam session was a blast. Let's do it again.

Thanks to all the folks that put this event together. Gary and co., LP Productions, Troop 77, and so many others... We are amazed how smooth it all works. Your execution is flawless.

To our fellow musicians: You set a high standard. There is so much talent at this event. We enjoyed seeing you play. And the fellowship amongst all the bands is wonderful.

Gretsch guitars... wow! Let's talk endorsement. Loved the LP style tone controls, and they were gorgeous!

To all that bought the album, thank you! We nearly sold out. We'll make sure to bring more next time.

This is my take on the seating arrangements. My husband got the 2nd best tickets. We knew best ticket holders would have the chance to sit closer to the stage. That's the way it should be. You pay more to get more. I was a little worried when I saw the height of the gates we'd have to sit behind, but I don't think we sat any farther back than we did in previous years, and I had no problems seeing the stage.

It was really nice that general admission ticket holders were able to go inside this year. I didn't realize we could until I had most of our schedule worked out. We did do a bit of switching around so I could get out of the sun for a bit.

For me, having the reserved seating outside was well worth it to be able to go inside. I really hope AROTR comes back to Louisville next year as we wouldn't be able to drive to DC.

Lisa Spence: The sing-along guys around the piano who played Elton John, etc are in "Savoy Truffle". Each of them are pro musicians and play in a number of different bands (Aja-Steely Dan Tibute Bank, Eric Jiradi Group, etc). From a straight music perspective, I think they are one of the best at the show. Gretsch did a nice review of their performance of Abbey Road in the ballroom. Also liked the Repeatles. We enjoyed most everyone we were able to see. Of course their are so many we couldn't see them all.Would like to see more variety of food and beer.
Looking forward to next year.

My family and I went to Abbey Road on The River for the 3rd straight year and I personally thought, this year was the best. Our favorite bands were "Meet the Beetles", "BritBeat", "The Rigbys", and "All You Need Is Love". I can hardly wait for next year. Thanks for such a great job.

Another great year! It was great to have The Jukebox back, they are the best! I really enjoyed Joe Rocco, it was nice to hear him play a lot of Mccartney solo stuff that we never hear played like Calico Skies and Mrs Vanderbuilt. Wingsbanned also rocked. I was very impressed with Meet The Beetles, best new band in a while, they were just awesome! Hope they come back next year. SSG rocks as always, and I was glad to get to hear a little Badfinger from the Apples and the Cryers.

Hello Fab and Groovy Chicks and Guys,
Pete and Penny checking in after one of the great weekends of our young and interesting lives. Some of you will know that we did a 3,500 mile road trip in a PT Cruiser before fetching up in Louisville. Our initial response was
"Well, Kentucky people, what have you got for us English types?"
And you gave us a Fabulous, Warm, Rapturous and Genuine Welcome- and let's face it, we loved it.
"I love your accent, can you talk to me?" "Of course I can, love, calm down."

Despite the exchange rate being ridiculously in your favour (£1 = $1.42, we didn't give a monkey's and savoured every moment.
There have been criticisms, but as we haven't been to other AROTR events we can't comment. The beer tasted a bit dodgy(a bit like that warm British Bitter you all talk about); the seats policy, well, those of you that know us know that we don't believe that merchants should sit down down at a pop /rock concert. But everything else was lovely. Perhaps you should try living in the UK for a year - the lack of enthusiasm and undersized stores would send you running for the hills.

I don't know if any of you have ever tried promoting a rock show in your local town/city/community hall but it's tough. This event is a monumental undertaking - and bear in mind that Gary had several cancellations just weeks before the event. Did he run away? No he didn't, honest geezer that he is. Here are some highlights from our weekend:

The Apples: a smashing 62-66 show with Birthday, Don't Let Me down and a fantasic Little Girl by the Standells. More mid-sixties Garage Rock, please!!

The Tearaways: a Californian pop/rock combo with that confident sheen and plenty of smiles and bonhomie. We loved them. Lots of Badfinger songs and Huey Lewis - we'll see you in Liverpool, Dave (guitarist) and your likely lads.

A mother of four doing a BOMB in the swimming pool- a thrill

The Galt House staff rehousing us after the builders started at 6.30 am outside our room. And we never complain - it was just an observation

The Beat Radicals- we saw them 4 times and it was as intense and valid as a rock performance could be.The Beat Does Indeed Go On and these were the boys to make it happen. Pete Seel, did you see the veins in his neck? Chris Schmidt, the guitarist of the weekend and so unassuming - just ask Lisa.

The Elliotts: the reason we were there. They played No Matter What by Badfinger in Liverpool last August which led to me to talking to Dave. He then told us about this event, which led to us turning up unannounced. You have to laugh. And they dedicated the song to us on the last night before the storm, at which grown men cried - at least, this one did. Some of the best lead/harmony singing of the festival. And no gimmicks.

Steve Sizemore and Co: A refreshing kick in the teeth of Beatles /Wings songs turned up to #11 and we loved them for it.We think the cd's great, Matt, and Brett's rock star poses will live long in the memory. We Need More.

The easy going affability of the Event Staff, very pleasant and agreeable

Being able to swap Stevie Marriott stories with Andy of All You Need is Love."You don't piss Olivier around, Son"

The Vinyl Kings: a dynamic performance on the last day, watched with Phil (Taxi Driver) who assured us we shouldn't pay more than $18.85 to get to the airport. We rode with Roy Mansfield who had a lot to say that we won't forget in a hurry

The Repeatles: With Daniel Craig on drums, they were never less than dynamic. And lots from our mates The Who and the Kinks - lovely

Revolver: Charming Scottish boys who performed the album wonderfully and even though we're not musicians, we know it's not easy to do. The Pinnacle of the Beatles - I can't even talk about it (and we were both born 3 miles from Abbey Road for what it's worth)

Jimmy Pou: what a lovely George. He spotted us in the Archibald and dedicated Give Me Love to us, as I'd told him that Pen had cried when he'd played it in the Daisy Room. He is the Real Deal.

Smashing my marracca during one of the late-night sessions because I so wanted to be a percussionist. We'd bought a pair at a garage sale in Kansas City for $3. Amazing that people wanted to go to bed at 3am - but couldn't as they wanted to keep it going

Informing people that Paul lost his Mum, Mary, when aged 14. We were amazed people didn't know this.

great post Pete and Penny..wish I had seen what you did..boggles me I missed revolver by revolver..grrrr..thanks for coming from so far..the last two posters came from 3500 miles each and we are so happy we made you happy..so is Louisville's conventions department..youa re the one's who sell brand Louisville, world wide.

Have had a week to relect on AROTR and read the comments. There's only handful of people that have traveled farther the last five years at considerable cost to attend than our group. If we keep coming back, it must mean something.
Vacations seldom go perfectly what with plane changes, layovers, hotel reservations not always working out, food expenses, weather, etc. I never start a vacation hoping nothing goes wrong. I start a vacation bound and determined to have fun no matter what. If a problem arrises, find a solution, Examples:
Problem: Airline charges too much for luggage.
Solution: Pack light and carry on.
Problem: Hotel didn't hold my reservation.
Solution: Settle for another room.
Problem: Band wasn't playing Beatles songs.
Solution: Go to another stage.
Problem: Beatrips and The Backwards didn't attend.
Solution: Find new favorites; Revolver, Brit Beat, Beat Radicals.
Problem: Food too expensive.
Solution: Find cheaper food, it's there.
Problem: Don't like the beer.
Solution: Buy different beer, it was there.
Problem: It's hot.
Solution: Go inside or dip in the pool if you're a guest.
To summarize, yes there were issues, there always is, but I had a good time. Made a couple new friends, took two free guitar lessons (thanks Dennis), met some nice musicians, got out of Oregon for a week. We have 100% humidity here as well but it comes down in the form of cool raindrops. We don't tan, we rust.
I have no idea of what it takes to put on this festival but I doubt anyone made any money to speak of if any at all. Kudos to Gary Jacob for his hard work. I saw him everywhere but never saw him relax long enough to enjoy a song or two. I want to put in a word for Bruce Spizer as well. Hope he comes in the future with more Beatle stories. Thanks to all the musicians.

thanks Shawn; your large group comes evey year from Oregon, and that's amazing..I know you spend thousands on this vacation! meanwhile, I did see the complete Pepper/Mystery show and the 1st Newbees concert, but only selected portions from about 10 others..had hoped to see White and Medley, but the storm caused me to miss all of White except "while my guitar", and we were monitoring a major storm only 5 miles away during Hal's medley..we were within minutes of stopping it..I did get to dance and party for the Sunday Archibald jam..If I told you what I missed...it makes me sad..probably 95%..

This was my 8th AROTR and I had a wonderful, amazing, heart-wrenching, spiritual, hilarious time. All of my favorite bands, playing my favorite music ... it just doesn't get any better than 5 days of AROTR. I'm in the process of contacting all my fave bands and my Beatle family members personally. I would like to give a public Whoo-Hoo to some new favorites and ask (beg) that they be invited back to Louisville in 2011:
TheBEAT!radicals (the beat goes on ... BEEP BEEP)
The Norwegian Beatles
Det Betales
Revolver
The Newbees
The Tearaways
Thanks to everyone who makes this event possible. Thanks also to the very cool Security folks, several of whom were singing along with the bands while keeping an eye on the crowds! Looking forward to Washington DC!

What no Repeatles in DC!! We'll miss you guys but that will leave time for me to see other bands that I might have otherwise missed. Speaking of The Repeatles, I LOVE that they and some of my other favorite bands like Itchycoo Park (HOOTENANNY!!) and The Tearaways do other classic rock songs in all of their sets. It was so cool to hear California Dreaming the first night and not have to wait for Monday for that. I love the Beatles as much as everyone else, but to be honest, I think I was Beatled out by Saturday!!

About the seating. I will always buy the best ticket and buy it early to support the event and so Gary can get some idea early, of those numbers. I loved walking up to the lawn on Thursday afternoon and seeing a private entrance for us, that moment right there made me feel like the $400 I spent on 2 tickets was well worth it, more so than previous years. So many of those best ticket buyers have become like family to me, after being at every AROTR since Cleveland. This year I met even more of them thanks to Facebook.

I was at the lawn stage for Instant Karma's very emotional last ever AROTR show when the storm hit. I was dancing near the stage and my goal when the buckets of rain came down, was to get to the Galt as fast as I could. The big problem for me was that Too Many People leaving the Best Ticket area stood under the security tent at that entrance, but only so many people could fit in there. I had a moment of panic and actually I'll use the word terror, because that's how it felt as people were starting to push a bit, but there was nowhere to go because the area under the tent was full and I guess those people were afraid of getting wet. I yelled out, "we don't want a trampling incident" and I thought of The Who in Cincinnati. A few seconds later a security guy came to the side and opened up the barricades so we could run around the security tent and then run like hell for The Galt House. I was singing the last song that Instant Karma did which was Instant Karma, but adding the rain to the moon and the stars and the sun!!

I haven't read all of the comments here yet, just printed out 25 pages to read later, but some things I've read over the past few days are really annoying me. This was the best AROTR ever, every year it gets better and I just don't get how some people can say it sucked, and they won't come back, wah wah wah!! I was amazed when I walked out on Saturday afternoon and the ticket line was as far down the street as I could see, as a 9 year support of this event, that made me feel good to see that.

My only complaints are that there's too many bands, but I've learned over the years to walk around a lot rather than sit at one stage for one show, so I can see more bands. The other thing was the layout of the program, with the tiny print and the color coding that was hard to remember with so many stages, but I always print out the schedule from the website before the event and use that in addition to the printed program.

I loved that there were indoor shows all day and I could get out of the heat and sun that was really getting to me at times. I didn't mind that General Admission people were allowed in there too, with no reserved seating. In fact, I was surprised at how empty the Daisy Room was for so many shows, I'd think that a lot of people would have wanted to take a break from the heat and see some shows indoors too.

Can't wait to do it agin in DC in less than 90 days!!

I would like to extend my humble thank you to Gary jacob and his team, the beautiful audience, all our fellow musicians, and anyone else who worked at the Galt House and at the Belvedere festival site. After five visits over six years, I do believe that this was the best one yet for us!

As I am currently living in London, the band hadn't met since last December and for the first time in my life I was actually a little nervous before the first show... totally unfounded! All our shows felt great, and the chemistry was there from the first chord, and the crowds were with us all the way, even though we are one of the bands that play songs from other bands than the Beatles.

It's a pity that we can't make DC as was planned, but we will se you next year, or maybe later this year in Liverpool. Until then, may the force of peace, love, understanding & music be with you all!

Far out,
Jan Leonard Borgh

I will agree with Stephanie to keep it positive. I personally had no problems with anything, thought all the surprise weather was handled amazingly, kudos to Gary and the crew for being quick on your toes.

Abbey Road is about coming together, seeing loved ones who you may have no seen in years, meet new amazing people and this year was JUST that for me. Beyond amazing. Had many tears when getting there, had many when leaving.

Payton, my best friend that I met at Abbey Road and continue to see every time I get the chance, she's been the best person in my life since I don't know what and I have AROTR to thank for that along with these people:

Of course to all the Revolver boys for being such AMAZING people and making our trip even better than it was going to be.

To our hostess, Grace for feeding the broke college kids and treating us like your daughters we will ALWAYS appreciate everything you do for us.

The Cryers, wonderful as always, love you all to pieces

It was great to see all of BritBeat together and again and I just loved meeting Sabrina, she's a doll for sure!

Yam and The JukeBox boys. My little slices of Puerto Rico, I love and miss you all so dearly, cannot wait to see you in DC to of course dance like crazy!

Debbi Smith, one of the greatest photographers I know and love so much.

and of course Hal Bruce, Mario Da Silva, Drew Harrison, Gary Quinn, Instant Karma (R.I.P. Mark), Itchycoo Park, The Repeatles and The TearAways. Such wonderful WONDERFUL people.

I know I didn't mention a lot but I'm running on empty and just wanted to mention all who have become such a part of my "Beatle Family"

Great job everyone, hope to see you all VERY VERY soon.

Remember it's all about Peace and Love. Positive vibes and togetherness <3

Thank you for your reply. I did not realize that there were only a certain amount of "best" tickets sold. I feel better already! And that was the only part of my comment directed towards you. I do understand crowd control! COMPLETELY!! But I have been to all of the AROTR hosted in Louisville, and Ive never seen the thousands of people stage front(stampedes as was stated earlier), on the lawn. But better to be safe than sorry.
The majority of my comment was directed to the people calling out those with suggestions or complaints. No need in repeating myself!
I like very much that you dont pick and choose what comments to post. Its just tough to see so many people be so mean to those who express an opinion different then their own...
enough about that!! I can't express how thankful my family and I are to you, the bands, and all the folks responsible for putting together such a wonderful festival.. see ya in D.C.

I cannot believe it all began 1 week ago today, as I landed in Louisville in plenty of time to catch the rooftop concert....a wonderful beginning to the weekend I mark my year by!!!!!!!! I will never forget the feeling that overcame me as I was walking to Fourth Street knowing I was going to see my "arotr family". There are no words to describe it. I still have not come down....I can close my eyes and hear many different voices in my head....and all I can do is smile. For this is truly a life-changing event for me every year, and it's getting better all the time. I bought as many cd's as possible, and therefore have been playing a different cd daily....so far, listened to 'THE AMAZING HAL BRUCE'...kicking ass...THE CRYERS....kicking ass... and SSG.....KICKING ASS!!!!....especially dedicating Helter Skelter to "US" at AROTR. We are all so fortunate to share such amazing talent and togetherness for five days, from sun-up to sun-up the next morning!!!!! (cause I know I hardly slept a wink)!!!! Think about the lobby parties that are just full of love and music for one another....and let's move on to a more positive guestbook. We owe it to each other.
WE ALL SHINE ON!!!!!!

I donated the $5 I found to Cerebral Palsy today.
Peace & Love.....Stephanie Bourgeois
