Street renamed in honor of Beatles

A section of Main Street has turned British in honor of the Fab Four.

Main Street between Fifth and Sixth streets was rededicated Monday as Abbey Road to recognize the Beatle festival coming to Louisville Memorial Day weekend.

Abbey Road studios in London is where the Beatles recorded most of their songs, making the site in London one of the top five tourist spots in England.

The Abbey Road on the River festival is May 27-29 in Louisville. It'll feature more than 50 Beatles tribute bands.
